Oxford University spin-off’s software now used by US Senate and the Financial Times
After moving into Culham Innovation Centre in 2016, Oxford BioChronometrics has already seen incredible growth in their company thanks to the facilities available to them at the centre. Founded as a spin-off from Oxford University, the company specialises in the detection of fraud across the Internet, including fraud in online advertising and identity management.
In their very own bespoke office space, the team at BioChronometrics have been building profiles based on electronically Defined Natural Attributes, or e-DNA, creating cybersecurity solutions that can make sure all types of digital assets and communities are protected. These profiles determine whether a user is human or an automated programme designed to commit fraud, which is a problem that costs businesses billions annually if not detected early.
“Setting up our offices at Culham made a significant contribution to our expansion plans in the UK, and in particular, the connections that a place like Culham brings to a science/tech start-up. Almost every week I meet someone new with the kind of skills and intellect that are the cornerstone of Oxford Biochronometrics.”
Adrian Neal, Chief Scientific Officer at Oxford Biochronometrics
After setting up their research in one of our versatile 361 square feet of serviced office spaces when they first moved from Oxford University, the company has seen such fantastic growth that they now occupy an expanded 665 square foot office that caters to all of their needs. As the catalyst for this pioneering research, the centre has helped them to focus on future innovation, with more discoveries still on the horizon.
