UK AEA-OPEN EVENINGS AND OPEN DAYS

March 22 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Open Evenings and Open Days

UKAEA’s open events offer you a unique opportunity to see some of the amazing work we are doing to develop safe, low carbon and sustainable fusion energy for the world’s future energy supply.

All our open evenings and days are free of charge. We will be hosting in-person open evenings regularly, alongside one weekend open day and one virtual event a year. These events include an introductory talk and tours of two of our world-leading facilities. These tours will be led by engineers, scientists and technicians, who are currently working on the cutting-edge programmes – so you are guaranteed a genuine insight into what it’s like to work in fusion and have the opportunity to directly ask our passionate researchers anything about our work here at UKAEA.

Please note (for in-person events):

  • Children below the age of 12 are not allowed to attend the in-person events. Anyone below the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
  • A significant amount of walking is involved during the tours – we can provide mobility support if required but we must be notified of this.
  • People with pacemakers and/or similar medical implants may not be able to access a few areas on tours for health and safety reasons.

The next in-person event will be announced shortly.

All of UKAEA’s public open events are published on our Eventbrite page. If you’d like to book onto an event or browse what’s coming up, please head over to the site. If you give our page a ‘follow’, you’ll receive a notification when events are uploaded and open for registrations.

Bring your questions and curiosity as you discover how we are harnessing the power of stars on Earth – we look forward to seeing you there!
